Terms of Hire And Liability

Challis Studios Sydney takes no responsibility for the damage, injury or loss of any person, property or equipment (including damage or loss during transit.) Whilst Challis studios will take care in supervising the studios, clients leaving property, props or equipment on the premises at any time must do so at their own risk and ensure their policy covers them accordingly. The same applies for any property lost by couriers in tansit to or from the studios.

Lighting or camera equipment required can be hired in on our account. Challis Studios will charge a 15% fee for the use of the account with the suppliers. Each company that we have an account with service their equipment and test it prior to every hire. Challis Studios will not be liable for the use of the equipment, nor will be responsible for any consequential loss arising there from. It would be in the hire's best interest to check equipment for the correct functioning and completeness before commencing. Equipment is the sole responsibly of the hirer. Any equipment lost or stolen will be charged to the hirer at the full replacement cost. Damages, breakages, loss and theft are the entire responsibility of the hirer. The hirer must check that all equipment is retuned complete.

Please respect all floors and furniture, especially during set builds and when moving items. All damage, however small, has to be paid for. All painting in studios must be done with utmost care.

Hours and Charges

Overtime is charged at $75 per hour for photographic shoots.
Weekend surcharge $100 per day.
Bookings must be confirmed at least 36hrs before the shoot day.
Cancellation of bookings incur a fee of 50%.
Half day bookings start of finish by 1pm and are 5 hours in the studio.
Late finish (after 7pm) or early start (before 7.30am) incurs a fee of $75 per start/finish.

Terms For Trade accounts
Payment Terms are COD or 30 days for Account.
Payment by EFT or company cheque
Interest will be charged on  overdue accounts at a rate of 9% per month.
Please note all rates and prices are quoted excluding  GST.
